What's inside

What the extra fifty dollars actually gets you.

So you don't have to go back out for dinner

Most people who book this room have just driven a long way up the Bruce Highway, and the last thing they want is to get back in the car to find food. Fridge, microwave, toaster, kettle, cookware, crockery and a tea and coffee maker mean you don't have to. There is no stovetop, so plan for reheating rather than cooking, or walk the five to eight minutes into Goondoon Street.

  • Seating area and a deskSomewhere to eat that isn't the end of the bed

The bath is deep enough to be worth running

This is the one thing that separates this room from the $110 Studio Queen — everything else about the two is identical, down to the square metre. It's a proper spa bath you can sit down in, not a shallow tub with jets. Next to it sits a separate walk-in shower and a separate toilet, which matters more than it sounds: someone can be in the bath at seven without holding up anyone's morning.

  • Spa bath, plus a separate walk-in showerThe bath doesn't replace the shower — you get both
  • Separate toilet, hairdryer, free toiletriesThree people's routines don't collide in one room

One queen bed — and what that means if there are three of you

Our booking system will let you put three guests on this room type, and we'd rather flag that than let you find out on arrival: there is one queen bed and we have no cots or extra beds at the property. Two people sleep here comfortably. A third would be on the sofa without bedding we can supply. If you're genuinely three, the Studio Twin with Spa Bath adds a single bed and the same spa for $200 — forty dollars more than this room.

  • 1 Queen · comfortable for 2No cots or rollaways available, on any room type
  • Soundproofed & air-conditionedQuiet hours run 8 PM to 7 AM across the property
  • Your own entrance off the laneArrive at 2 AM without walking past a soul

Where the money goes, plainly

Adding the spa costs $50 on a Queen ($110 → $160) but only $20 on a Twin ($180 → $200). If a second bed is any use to you at all, the Twin with Spa Bath is the better-value way to get the same bath.
