Two people, one kitchenette, and a fridge that holds a shop
Sharing a room only works if you're not both living out of a service station. The fridge takes a genuine grocery shop, and there's a microwave, toaster, kettle, cookware and crockery to go with it — plus guest laundry on site, which is what makes a fortnight here viable rather than merely survivable. There is no stovetop, so think reheating rather than cooking. Goondoon Street's pubs do a counter meal five to eight minutes' walk away.

This is the detail people don't think about until two of them have a 5:30 start. The walk-in shower and the toilet are in separate spaces, so one of you showering doesn't lock the other out. We'd rather be straight about the trade: the footprint here is identical to the Studio Queen, so the single bed comes out of the living space rather than being added to it. There is still a dining table, a seating area with a flat-screen TV and a desk — but it is a shared room, not a two-bedroom apartment, and it's priced accordingly. It takes up to three guests, and it's the room we'd point a family of three to.
